
Willie, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully with family and friends at his side on May 14, 2014. He was born December 13, 1950 in Dayton, OH at Wright-Patterson Air Force base to Mary Jesse Holt Wright and the late William Jackson Wright. He was a 1968 graduate of Northwest High School.
Willie proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.
He worked for Kroger and Petroleum Management until establishing Wright Environmental in 2004 with his wife and son.
Willie will forever be remembered as a sensitive, caring, tough, resilient, loving, joyful, playful man.
He loved his family and had special bonds with dear friends and his many animals.
Willie was preceded in death by his father, William Jackson Wright, Sr.; Father-in-Law: James R. Swinney; Nephews, Macklin James Swinney and Christopher Swinney.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Dana Swinney Wright; his adored son Heath Anthony Wright; Mother: Mary Jesse Holt Wright; Brother: Joseph Wright; Sister: Rhea Wright Griffith (Steven); Mother-in-Law: Dorothy Swinney; Brothers-in-Law: James Swinney, Patrick (Bonnie) Swinney, Michael (Kim) Swinney, Mark (Liz) Swinney, and Scott (girlfriend Dinah) Swinney; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and favorite nieces along with many who looked up to him as a father figure, and special friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Indy West Conference Center, 400 High School Rd, Indianapolis, with Visitation from 4 to 7:30pm and Memorial Service at 7:30pm.
