Family and friends you have my deepest sympathy. This is a difficult time for most. There are basic things that can help anyone get through the pain no matter what age, gender or religious beliefs. Many have been helped with the twelve basics or just a few. You can go to jw.org and get the basics with no cost ever. See the article “Help for those who grieve “ in the magazine section. Anyone can get help and comfort.

Your family has my deepest sympathy. I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of Mr. Paddy, someone so beloved. I was thinking of something to say to ease the tremendous pain that your family is suffering. So I compiled this list of scriptures that is sure to bring you comfort in this difficult time: Psalms 55:22; Proverbs 3: 5 & 6; Isaiah 41:10; 2 Corinthians 1:3-7; James 4:8; and Revelation 21:4. Be strong. Cherish the memories. May the peace of God be with your family always. And, please, remember to call upon his name found at Psalms 83:18.

My 1st cousin but more like an Uncle. Pat, I’ve known you all my life and you will remain in my memories for thes rest of my time here. Your contagious smile lit up the room. I remember all the silly pranks, tight hugs, and how your affections were so effortless.
The two memories that stand out most are when you told me to hold my hand over a plate of spaghetti to see if i could feel the heat coming off it. Of course, I did, and you slapped my hand in it. The second is how you were beside me when I fell into a hard cry at my dads funeral and you caught me and just let me cry on your shoulder. Even though your time is done here, we have our memories, and the love you shared.
Rest peacefully, cousin!
Ernie
