William “Bill” Kappner

William “Bill” Kappner died February 23, 2015, at his home in Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, Quincy, Illinois, and held a BA degree from Franklin College in Indiana, where he was a member of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity and Theta Alpha Phi theater honor society. He retired after a number of years at RCA, both in Indianapolis and Bloomington, working in the area Management Information Systems. Bill was an avid woodworker and fisherman. He was a charter member of the Indianapolis Woodturners Association and the Indianapolis Fly Casters Association, where he enjoyed teaching others to tie flies.

 

Bill is survived by his wife, Virginia, daughter Kori (Alan) Brown, daughter Kirsten (Ken) Albers, and grandchildren Kali Brown, Olivia Albers, and Maggie Albers.

 

Visitation will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4702 South East Street, Indianapolis 46227 from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015, with a Memorial Service in the Church at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.

    I am so sorry to hear about Bill. I don’t get a paper so I just found out. He’s in God’s hands now and possibly meeting my Tom. I hope that you find peace and solace knowing this.
