
Wilbur Scott, Jr. was born on November 27, 1936 in Noblesville, Indiana to Wilbur O. Scott, Sr. and Lorene (Tompkins) Scott.
Wilbur was fondly known as Sonny by his family and friends, but his favorite name was DADDY which came from the voices of his children.
He attended Noblesville Schools. Once turning eighteen years old he went to serve his country in the United States Marines Corp.
Wilbur worked many years for TRW/Noblesville Casting, Inc.
Wilbur was a gentle, kind hearted soul who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed family bar-b-ques at the family house on Plum Street, where he was doned the master griller. Playing pool and relaxing outdoors were his favorite past times.
Wilbur departed this life peacefully at home on Saturday, March 5, 2016 surrounded by his children. He was preceeded in death by his parents Wilbur O. Scott, Sr. and Lorene (Tompkins) Scott; sisters Betty Lou Scott and JoAnn (Scott) Perdue; brothers Roland Lee Scott and Edward Arnold Scott.
Wilbur leaves to cherish in his memory daughters Beth Ann Scott-Killings (Jeffrey) and Candias S. Scott-Moore; and son Michael J. Scott; grandchildren Sontia M. Scott, Sonayah M. Scott-Dawson (Thomas), Jessica D. Long-Rehm (Jonathan), Bethany A. Long, Taylor Killings (Stephanie), and Ashton Scott; granddogs Oscar Scott and Bailey Killings; great-grandchildren Gionnia Stockdale, Chayce Dunson, Chance Scott, Tomai Bewley, Samiyah Scott, Jordyn Long-Moon, Journey Shepard, and Jordin Rehm; sister Shirley Ann Thomas; brother Marvin Dale Scott; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special daughter Patricia Gaylene (Turner) Bacigalupo and special son Donnie Lee Turner.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville, Indiana with Shad Hill officiating.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care, Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana.
