Tracy Warren Denny, 61, of Clermont, IN, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2019. He was married to Karen (Mayo) Denny. He is survived by his daughter Erin Denny and her husband Bradley Galedrige. Tracy is preceded in death by his father Mitchell Denny. Other survivors include his mother Lois Denny, his brother Gary Denny, his sister-law Lijie Denny, his mother-in-law Rita Mayo, sister-in-law Narita (Mayo) Gore and her husband Dean, and his brother-in-law Myron Mayo. Tracy is also survived by many wonderful aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and his best friend Scott Renie.
Tracy was born on February 7, 1958 and was raised in Mooresville and Plainfield, Indiana. He moved to Clermont, Indiana in 1984 and lived there with his family for 35 years. Tracy was a happy and independent child. He spent a lot of his childhood sick with migraines and struggled with school attendance. After graduating from Plainfield High school in 1976, he went on to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he earned a diploma to become an Aviation Maintenance Technician. Soon after that he married his beloved bride Karen at Speedway Christian church in May of 1983. He spent 7 years as an airplane mechanic at Eagle Creek Aviation before his migraines were too severe. He then chose to become a stay at home dad and homeschooled his daughter Erin for 8 years.
Tracy was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer in 2013. While he was lucky to enjoy multiple remissions, this year he had several hospitalizations due to the disease. Tracy was happy to spend the time he had left at home with his family.
Tracy was passionate about his miniature poodle, Smokey and playing his guitars and other instruments. He also thoroughly enjoyed toy helicopters and drones. Despite being unable to work he was always learning and doing something productive when he could.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care. Viewing will be held at Christ Church (550 St. Luke Drive, Plainfield, Indiana 46168) on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Morris Mott officiating.
