Thomas Lee Wilburn, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday evening May 6, 2018 following his battle with pulmonary fibrosis. His final moments were spent surrounded by loved ones in prayer. Tom was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, with family always dear to his heart.
Thomas was born on February 15, 1942 to Mary (Herron) and Charles Wilburn in Knox County, Tennessee. He graduated from Mt. Summit High School in 1960. Tom owned and operated Raintree TV & Appliances in New Castle, then Raintree Waterbeds (later Raintree Furniture) in Anderson and Muncie until his retirement in 1999.
Tom is survived by his 4 children: Todd, Tonyah (Scott), Troy (Cathy), Tracy; mother of his children, Barbara; 5 grandchildren: Kasey Martin (Drew), Connor, Tanner, Tyler, Brody; 4 great-grandchildren: Leyton, Kaden, Maddox, Sawyer; 2 brothers, Danny (Teena), David (Sandy); 2 sisters, Pat Fullhart (Ron), Janet; a good friend, Sandy Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, 2400 North Memorial Drive, New Castle, Indiana on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 11:00a.m. Friends may call from 9:00a.m. until service time.
