
Theodore Richard Kelley was born on December 8, 1941 along with his twin sister Thelma in their family’s home in Monroe County, Indiana to Vernie and Maysie Kelley. He grew up in Harrodsburg, Indiana with his three siblings.
Ted graduated from Smithville High School and later on went on to graduate from Indiana University. He married his wife Jean Breeden in December of 1963 and they spent almost all of their 52 years together in Indianapolis where they raised their three children. He worked for RCA/Thompson for 30 years.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, hunting, and hiking, but most of all he enjoyed his time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Maysie; his older brother, John Kelley and nephew, Jeff Kelley.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Kevin Kelley, Kim (Jim) Hardie, Kris Kelley; grandchildren, Alisha (Michael) McQueen, Alexi, Brayden, Victoria; great grandchildren, Brianna, Brody, Corbin; brother, Bill (Anne) Kelley; sister,Thelma Jefferies; sister in law, Rhea Dawn Kelley; and several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 7702 Indian Lake Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, IN.
