Teresa Louise Thompson, 57, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN after a long battle with cancer.
Teresa was born on May 16, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN as the fifth child to Robert Lee Thompson who proceeded her in death, and her mother Helen L. Carson who survives her.
A graduate of Indianapolis Public Schools Arsenal Technical High School, Teresa worked for several years at Methodist Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital, before beginning her career at the Indianapolis Star newspaper where she served in client services designing/layout of the classified and obituary pages for 19 years, before she took ill.
Teresa is survived by her son Jamar B. Thompson; sisters Rose Taylor, Cynthia Thompson-Sanders, Donna Thompson, Inize Broadie, Roberta Gail Tisdul, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved her dearly. Teresa’s only brother, Robert Louis Thompson, Sr. proceeded her in death just 33 days prior and went in advance to welcome her into her eternal home.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, 10am-11:45am with funeral immediately following at 12pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.
