My memory of Shrell was of a woman who was strong in her faith. She fought for what she believed in and stood up to those who tried to deny her. She was ever encouraging and smiling even in the face of her own mortality. We lost a great presence, still her effects on us all will last our lifetimes.
Susan Kiefer says

I just found out about this news. Shrell was one of the first people that talked to me when I was a new member of Eastern Star Church. She had such strong faith in Jesus and no matter how bad her cancer, other personal issues she was facing, she maintained her faith. I will miss her company when going out on our adventures, connecting with her on Facebook or texting and calling her. My love and prayers are with her family and friends. Let us remember that she is at the ultimate finish line where she is waiting for all of us to cross and join her.
