
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at Indiana Funeral Care; Harry W. Moore Chapel at 8151 Allisonville Rd. starting at 4 p.m.; Friends and family may visit from 3 p.m. until service time.
Shirley A. Winter, 67, passed away on June 7, 2016, with her loving family by her side.
Shirley was born on June 24, 1948 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert M. and Dorothy Kawaguchi. She was the second to the oldest in line of five children.
Shirley enjoyed painting, crafting, sewing and drawing. Shirley was also a long time member of Christ the Savior Church where she liked to fellowship with fellow members. Her true life’s passion however, was her family. Shirley absolutely adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived for family gatherings, where she could spend time with everyone.
Shirley is survived by: her children, Robert(Jill) Winter, Angela (Paul) Williams, Mary (Kenny)Pryor and April (John) Rocca; Siblings, Robert D. (Jean) Kawaguchi, Gloria (Dick) Ballard, Teresa (Rich) Vallicelli; sister-in-law Lisa Kawaguchi; grandchildren, Rachael Wright, Michael Bauer, Brittany and Emily Williams, Simone, Alyssa and Keyvon Pryor; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Robert M. and Dorothy Kawaguchi; her brother, Jim Kawaguchi; grandson, Matthew James Williams; and great- niece, Debra Jean Kawaguchi.
