Sharon, some called her Shari, left this world to soar through the galaxy to heaven to see the God of the universe and be reunited with her father,Browne Gilbert and mother,Opal S. Gilbert, on June 17, 2018.
Sharon was born in Detroit Michigan and lived her life in the Midwest landing her last chapter back in Indianapolis. Sharon had an exciting life and loved her two children, Michelle Kauffman Morgan (Mitch) residing in Colorado and Rock Kauffman and life partner Jamie Miller of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She cherished her two grandsons Benjamin Morgan (Allie) and Jackson Morgan. Sharon has a fabulous sister Carolyn “Candi” VanDyke and the late Jerry VanDyke. She loved her nephew Steven VanDyke (Julie) and their 4 children. She also cherished her niece Jennifer Orme (Derek) and their two children, as well her treasured friend “Deuce” Caldwell .
A Celebration of Her Life will be in Grand Rapids, MI…more information to follow soon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bissell Pet Foundation (www.bissellpetfounation.org/donate/)
