A memorial service will be held Friday January 23 at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Sarah Curry, 62, passed away on January 20, 2015, at home with her family, following a struggle with cancer.

After childhood in Indianapolis, Sarah lived in Great Britain and the Chicago area before returning to Indianapolis in 2012. She was a graduate of North Central High School and of Indiana University, and earned a Master of Nonprofit Management degree at North Park University in Chicago. She worked in retail, management of not-for-profit organizations, and adult education.

In recent years Sarah became a passionate artist, earning distinction for work in mosaics. She participated in creating mosaic installations at St. Vincent’s Hospital through its art therapy program for cancer survivors, and loved sharing with others the joy of making art.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Richard Barrett, and two daughters, Louise and Moira Barrett.

A memorial service will be held Friday January 23 at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent Foundation, Cancer Art Therapy, 8402 Harcourt Road, Suite 210, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
