Ruth Naomi (Knowles) White, 88, Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord August 19, 2014.
Ruth was born and raised in Indianapolis and was a proud graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. She married her childhood sweetheart (Roy) in 1943. He precedes her in death as does their son, Daniel Churchill, and grandson, Joseph.
Ruth loved her Lord and spent her entire life being a good and faithful servant to him. She was a homemaker who loved to read and loved being with her family.
She leaves behind her daughter, Donna (Tom) Courtney and son, David (Debbie) White, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her lifelong friend, Doris Wright.
Her family wishes to recognize and thank the staff at St Vincent’s Carmel Hospital and Carmel Rehab for their kind care and compassion during her illness. They also wish to recognize and thank the Rittenhouse Senior Living staff and friends for all they have done for Ruth through the years. She was truly happy and content to be a part of their “family”.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indiana Special Olympics in her name.
She is at peace. She will be missed.
