Susie Worland-Hartley says
I am so sad to hear of Ruth’s passing. I knew Ruth way back in the late 70’s working at IU in the medical record department. She was always so kind to me and when I got the chance to see her, we reconnected like it was yesterday we last saw each other. Very sweet and considerate individual. She will be missed!
Charlotte Carmichael says
I remember Ruth Ann the day she was born. You see we were 2 nd. Cousins. She was a whiz at cards and board games. I would always lose to her. She like her mother and father fought cancer. All 3 had great attitudes about living with cancer. One would expect when visiting a cancer patient, that you would try to bring good cheer and happiness to the patient. I never had the opportunity because of her brave attitude and being at peace with her fate. I always left after a visit, being the one who was up lifted.
I am sure she is sitting down with the Donelson’s playing cards. And probably enjoying Aunt Ruth’s cake, or pies of Aunt Wilma and her grandmother,Juanita..
You are a special angel..
‘
Your cousin,
Charlotte Ann Carmichael
Deborah Donelson says
I , like Charlotte, remember Ruth from childhood. My most vivid memories are more of recent years also witnessing her faith in Christ and her solid assurance that she would be in heaven. I am comforted to know she is sitting at the feet of Jesus and more alive than she has ever been. I will miss her.

Janet Donelson says
I like Charlotte and Deb remember Ruth from childhood. I too remember her answer to the Dr. who asked Ruth why she wasn’t more upset about her diagnosis of cancer and her response to him was “because I know where I am going”. That has been comforting to me to know of her assurance of her future during what seemed like a long endurance of dealing with her bout with cancer. I will miss her and her positive attitude in dealing with her cancer and the confidence of her faith in Jesus and that she will be spending the rest of her days with Him.
