Rose Karsai, born February 15th 1955, was a beloved mother to two children (Claudina and Monica) and grandmother to triplet grandchildren (Andrew, Sofia, Florian). She was a spirited woman with an immeasurable love for life and her surroundings. She passed away in her home surrounded by her daughters and lifelong friends. She died on the morning of July 29, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 1-4PM at her home in the garden she cherished and loved. Please contact her daughter for the address (317-828-1510).
She loved her profession as a hairstylist and had a special relationship with each of her clients who all held a place in her heart. She touched every one of their lives, not only with scissors for their hair, but with love, humor, joy, and compassion.
Rose loved to make people laugh. She always had a funny story to tell or a joke she wanted to share. She could light up a room with her smile. She had a lavish sense of style and loved leopard prints, bright colors, sparkles, and jewelry. She dressed to perfection each day. Rose was and always will be incredibly beautiful.
Rose was a citizen of the world. She descended from Hungary in 1975 to California and moved to Indiana in 1977. She was interested in learning and experiencing diverse cultures. She had dreams of traveling to Egypt, Morocco, Dubai, and other places around the world.
Rose also loved being outside and in nature. Her favorite hobby was spending time in her flower garden and sitting on her front porch watching all of the birds and butterflies. Her garden was her serenity. She was a collector—collecting anything from small trinkets to oversized stuffed animals. However, in addition to collecting, she had an immensely giving heart. While she had many hobbies and interests, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, watching the grandchildren playing and running in her yard.
Rose loved her life even up until the last minute. She hated goodbyes and would say “love you” instead of “goodbye.” Therefore, join us as we say “love you” to Rose and to celebrate the life that she lived. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 1-4PM at her home in the garden she cherished and loved. Please contact her daughter for the address (317-828-1510).

At 22 I met Rose and we instantly bonded over laughter and small talk. Over the past 16 years we became great friends as I followed her to new locations needing not only the best cut in town, but the laughter, family talk, and jokes (LOVE that infectious laugh!!!!) that only Rose could offer. Every visit we talked about family. Claudina, Monica, and the grand kids were her love. She was always so proud of your accomplishments and loves you all so much! She is truly someone special to me who I loved seeing every time and cheerished our friendship. There were many places closer in town to get my hair cut, but only 1 Hungarian Princess!
