Early a.m. July 1st Ron passed away surrounded by family who were lovingly by his side every moment since his hospitalization and then his hospice care at home.
Ron’s cancer was diagnosed on May 19th and progressed aggressively. It was Ron’s choice to go home for time with his family.
Ron was born Oct. 9th, 1962. He was the youngest of four children. Our family has been enjoying many tales of the life of Ron and his family. These involved camping, parks, lakes, most of all enjoying nature and family and the truly important things in life.
Ron had worked at several places of employment, each one he loved for different reasons. He was lucky to have worked with both of his brothers. First with Royce Thompson at All Seasons Insulation, then since 2005 with his oldest brother Rick Thompson at Calvin Landscaping until his diagnosis.
Ron’s most favorite hobby was fishing. He had a group of friends he would see regularly and of course was always involved with the family get-togethers.
In the last year his favorite place to go was the family lake house. It was a work in progress, and he spent most spare time along with mom – Karen Thompson driving an hour away to be in nature, work on the lake house and be with the lake community that are warm and loving people who are getting the most out of life.
Ron was preceded in death by:
Dad – Larry E. Thompson
Brother – Royce E. Thompson
Sister – Robin L. Burton
Ron is survived by:
Mom – Karen Thompson
Brother – L. Rick Thompson
& Large loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday July 11th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 451 N. Old State Road 67, Mooresville, IN 46158
