Robert A. Young, 74, of Greenfield, IN passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at home.
He leaves his two daughters Heather Dawson (Brad) of Whitestown, IN and Sarah Young of Riverside, CA ; his four grandchildren, Dallas, Aedan, Bella, and Lily; two sisters, Rebecca Hill and Carol Sterling; cousins and many friends.
Mr. Young was born September 3, 1942 in Tazwell Co, West Virginia to the late William and Helen (Bacon) Young. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Young.
He spent his a big portion of his life in St. Augustine, FL. He worked for Grumman Aviation for a little over a decade. He also studied and became an LPN in FL where he cared for many people. He moved to Indiana to be closer to his daughters. He worked for Brandywine Nursing Home in Greenfield, IN and also taught guitar locally before he retired.
He was a master musician, guitarist, and guitar teacher. He played all over the country and had taught music to a lot of people. He had a love for God and a love for people. He was genuine and had a generous heart.
A celebration of life service will be held at his church, Greenfield Church of God, 1561 E. Main Greenfield, IN 46140, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
