Robert E. Clark

Bob was born and raised in Marion, IN to George and Lucille Clark. His siblings include Marjorie (Therian) Ferguson, Velma (Rex) Ratliff, Barbara (aka Babe) Edwards, Floyd Clark, and Phyllis (Franklin) Milroy. Bob is survived by brother Carl (Eleanor) Clark of Marion, and many nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Marion High School and attended the University of Kansas on a scholarship. He then joined the Air Force, and while stationed in Missouri he met and married Barbara Fox. He was deployed to North Africa during the Korean Conflict and after discharge, the couple settled in Marion.
They have three children; Stephen (Deborah), Kathy and Larry, a grandson, and four great grand-children.
Bob built a house for his young family and began his career with Indiana Bell. They would move to Indianapolis when Bob accepted a position as a programmer. Later, he took a 4-year assignment in Milwaukee, WI and then returned to Indianapolis to retire in 1989. Bob’s career spanned 34 years with AT&T. He bought a land parcel in Noblesville and with his sons, built the house where they have resided since 1990.
Bob liked to fish with the guys, and he loved to read and play bridge. Most of all Bob loved his family.
He and Barbara celebrated their 65th anniversary on February 14th.
Bob will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Friday July 27, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, IN.
Visitation will be held 11:00-12:00 in the Chapel of Memories, with memorial to follow.
