Robert Alan Brahany, 8/17/64-5/18/14, Fishers, Indiana
Bob accomplished quite a bit in his almost 50 years. He was a registered Pharmacist, SDI & PADI Scuba Instructor, Firefighter/EMS/EMT/paramedic and Photographer with both Wayne Township and Fishers Fire Departments. He was the official photographer of too many organizations to list here. Bob ultimately achieved the rank of Division Chief with the FFD. Most importantly, Bob was a treasured friend, teacher, companion, and family member to virtually all that knew and interacted with him. His friendship, counsel, and good nature will be missed by his family, friends, students, and co-workers alike.
He graduated from Tech HS in Indianapolis, and received his PharmD from Butler University. For many years, Bob has been a Pharmacist at Community North Hospital working the night shift. In his free time Bob had several hobbies, primarily photography, and Scuba Diving. He is well known for both in many groups. Bob taught many people Diving, CPR/AED, underwater photography, and Nitrox for Indy MPH Watersports.
Bob is survived by his sister Beth Wager, brother in law Jeff Wager, 2 nieces, Rebecca & Annalisa, one nephew, Jeffrey, his girlfriend Lesa Steyert, several caring relatives, , and hundreds of friends.
A viewing for family and friends will take place at Indiana Funeral Care & Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, Friday, May 23 from 5-8PM. Bob’s ashes will be spread in Bonaire, DWI on his favorite reefs, during January, 2015, by his family and friends. Donations for conservation of the reef system in Bonaire can be made to STINAPA, in honor of Bob. Details on both the Bonaire trip and donations can be obtained at the funeral home or by phone at Indy MPH Watersports, 317- 842-1988.

To Bob’s family and closest friends, we were privileged to work alongside Bob for many years at CHN. He will be remembered for his good nature, being an encourager, someone who knew everything about everything and was willing and eager to share his knowledge. It was a blessing to know him. He graciously provided his photography services to us for our wedding,us being young & broke. We will remember him as a kind & genuine person always. Our condolences & prayers go out to you all.

I’m deeply saddened to hear that Bob passed away. I moved away from my family and friends in Kansas City in 2010 and worked at Community North Hospital as a pharmacy technician for 2 years. He was always very pleasant to work with and I learned a lot working with him. We both shared a fondness of Kansas City BBQ and traveling. Bob you will be missed! All of Bob’s family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

The CHN team have a hole in our heart. Bob touched so many of us, especially those you worked late. I remember when we were a tiny ED, Bob would play Euker with us and drink coffee and hope for something exciting to come in. He will be missed!!

I am a nurse on one of the floor that Bob served. I did not personally know him well but spoke with him over the phone weekly. He was always pleasant and very helpful. I could always trust the answers and advice he gave. So saddened to hear of his passing, especially so young. He was greatly apperciated and will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy.
