
Richard W. Solly, 75, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017, after a long illness.
Richard was born on April 30, 1942 in Indianapolis. He served 6 years in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He owned his own carpet cleaning business for many years, and then became the Director of Maintenance for 15 years with the Lockhart Automotive Group. He retired in 2011.

Richard drove a parade car for the Indianapolis 500 Club for 15 years, and was an avid fisherman.
He has gone home to the lord to be with his oldest son, Phil, who passed in 1990. Life will never be the same without him. He will be missed.
The family will greet visitors from 1:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road Indianapolis. A Military Honors service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
