Phillip W. Weiker, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017. Phil was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Carl and Alma Weiker. He graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in 1961 and was a member of the Indiana Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He completed several professional development and information technology certification programs during his career at Vectren Corporation from which he retired in 2005 after more than 38 years of service.
Phil is survived by his wife of 36 years, Leah (Veteto) Weiker; his daughters Debbie (Tom) Suckow, Sandy Matthews, and Kim Weiker; grandchildren Nick and Megan Suckow; sister Judy (Steve) Bisselberg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Phil is preceded in death by his sister Karen Maguire.
A funeral service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 12:30 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 am to 12:30 pm. A private family entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Phil may be made to the IU Simon Cancer Center, 535 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.

    Phil was a friend and I always enjoyed his sense of humor. My brother and Phil were long time friends and shared many memories. He will be missed as one of our extended family. Prayers for Leah and the girls Rest In Peace
