Patricia, “Patty” Turrini died peacefully on March 8, 2016 at the age of 60 after a
courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born in Amityville, NY, her family also lived in Moorestown, NJ and Indianapolis, IN where Patty attended local schools. After her family relocated to Massapequa, New York, Patty graduated from high school. From a young age, Patty had a love and compassion for animals, which lead to study and receive an Associate’s Degree in Animal Husbandry from Farmingdale State College.

After graduation, Patty moved back to Indianapolis to pursue her career as a veterinary technician. She was passionate about her work with animals and became a rescuer of unwanted cats. She was a member of IndyFeral, which is an organization dedicated to the care of feral cats. She herself sheltered up to 12 unwanted cats in her home.

Patty enjoyed reading, writing in her journal, cooking Italian food for her friends especially during the holidays and working in her garden.

For most of her life, Patty had strong faith in God, which sustained her during these last few months of sickness and comforted her during her death. She was a loving and caring person to her family and friends. Patty was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed beyond measure.

The family would like to thank Sharon Turrini for all her support and comfort towards Patty during her illnesses and to her best friend, Judi Klug for her years of dedication and loyalty to Patty. Also, we greatly appreciate her friends who visited and brought companionship during her long stay in the hospital. Lastly, to the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital who treated Patty with excellent care and respect.

If you would like to donate in Patty’s memory to a cause dear to her heart, IndyFeral, please follow the link below and donate in her name.

I am in shock finding this on the internet so long after her passing. I knew Patty about 43years ago and she was one of the most beautiful people to walk this earth. I pray for her, her family and her friends. May GOD hold her in the hollow of his hands.
