
Norman Young, 71, of Greenwood, passed away on August 12, 2016.
He was born August 14, 1944 in Scottsville, Kentucky. He was a 1963 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He later worked for Link Belt, and Economation, and was a part owner of Fabricated Steel.
Norman and Barbara, his wife of 43 years, married in 1972. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, birdwatching, and most of all yard work. He loved his grandchildren.
Norman is survived by his wife, Barbara Young; daughters, Joyce (Allen) Roettger and Michelle (David) Miller; grandchildren, Amber Roettger and Matthew Young; mother, Wilma (Mabrey) Bracken; brother, Glen (Jackie) Young; and sister, Rita (Kenny) Perdue.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Dewey Young.
Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016, at The Point Church and Community Center, 2578 Donica Road, Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
