Naomi Ruth (Hall) Treon, 81, passed away May 27, 2016.

Born October 9, 1934 in Frankfort Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John D. & Eilleen E. Hall.   A graduate of Broad Ripple High School and Indiana University, School of Nursing, she displayed her love and kindness in all she did, including her profession.   She loved every minute she provided direct patient care in various hospitals in Indiana and Southern California having worked in OB, ER, MedSurg, Pediatrics and Psych.  Additionally, she worked private duty care in both Pediatrics and Geriatrics in California and Indiana.   Her love for nursing was further spread when she taught, trained and guided more than 1000 others in her calling, primarily at Turtle Creek Convalescent Center in Noblesville.   Naomi grew up on the White River where she shared her father’s passion and true love of nature.  She loved flowers and taught her kids to identify them by species instead of a “flower” i.e. Daffodil.    She took great pride in being a loving wife, awesome mother and gentle grandmother.   She was married 53 years to the love of her life and dance partner, Norman Richard Treon, who preceded her.  Together they owned the Mr. Steak Restaurant in Indianapolis and Brant’s Steak House in Danville, IL .  In the 60’s the lived in southern California where they owned and operated several restaurants, including one on Pacific Beach in San Diego.  Naomi was a gracious host and pastry chef extraordinaire, with people coming from afar to enjoy her “homemade, homegrown” pies and cobblers.  She was survived by:  her son Brant (Andrea) Treon, daughters Nina (Richard) Perry, and Nadine Treon; Grandchildren, Jennafer (John) Adams, Andrew “Dillon” Treon, and Alexandra “Darby” Treon; Great Grandson, John Richard “J.R.” Adams; and her loving sister, Grace (Jack) Brewton of Tustin, California.  A memorial service will be held at:   Robertson Chapel at  St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (where she was a member), 100 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.  Friends may visit with the family prior, starting at 10:00 A.M.   Since she always said she wanted all of her flowers during her lifetime, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to: BRHS Alumni Association’s Naomi Hall Treon Nursing Scholarship, 3230 E. 104th Street, Carmel IN 46033.   Donations are tax deductible as a 501(c)(3).
