Nancy K. (Johnson) Means, 79, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2018. She was born May 4, 1939, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Jesse and Nadine (Carter) Johnson.
She was also preceded in death by her only brother, Kent Johnson. Nancy was fiercely independent and private. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School and Carnegie Institute as a Medical Assistant.
Nancy was a wonderful, kind and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. She was in a word: CLASS. She is survived by her beloved children, daughter, Roxanne (Carlin) Mattox (Bill) and son Corey Means, (Angie), and grandchildren Ashley, Miles and Brandon Mattox, Zach & Katie Vaughn and Macey Means.
Nancy possessed a humble yet quiet dignity and was respectful to everyone she ever met. Her values and inner strength were matchless. She was a fabulous cook, loved her Coca-Cola and reading her Indianapolis Star.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 8th from 11 am to 1 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road. Immediately afterward will be a private graveside service.
