Morris C. Sparks, Mooresville, died March 2, 2014 in the quiet surroundings at home. He was born February 28, 1921 to George and Malinda Sparks. Morris was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Jones, Edith Owens and twin brothers, Ronald and Donald.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen; sons, Ronald (Ruthanne) Sparks and Roger Sparks; daughter Cheryl (Kim) Holtsclaw; 4 grandsons and five great-grand children; sisters, Geneva Laswell, Doris Baumann; brother, Norman Sparks; and many dear friends.

He was a member of the Model “A” Restorer’s Club, Sugar Creek Masonic Lodge, and Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite. He was a Lieutenant fighter pilot trainer in the Marine Corps in World War II and an Officer in the US Navy, being honorably discharged from both organizations.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Indiana Funeral Care. There will be no viewing or calling. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

Life’s so fragile and love’s so pure; We can’t hold on, but we try. We watch how quickly it disappears and we never know why.
