Morgan D. Thomas, 23, passed peacefully Saturday evening with her sister Whitney, by her side. She was born September 6, 1993 to Steve and Loretta (Baker) Thomas.
Morgan’s life touched every one of us with her love for others, valuing relationships more than anything. She chased all things great and small with fierce passion and gave her all to everyone she cared about. Morgan was incredible at creating beautifully unique art to express her pain and passion. She was adventurous and never missed an opportunity to travel and share her experiences with friends.
At the age of 11, her mom, Loretta, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and passed when Morgan was 13. The loss of her mom had a profound impact on her life and since has longed for the day she would be with her again.
Morgan will be remembered most for her ability to love unconditionally, her creative imagination and contagious laughter. A Celebration of Life will be held for Morgan at Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds and Exhibition Center Hall C 2003 Pleasant Street in Noblesville on October 29 from 5-9pm.
Morgan was preceded in death by her mom, Loretta (Baker) Ortiz and her grandma, Sue. She is survived by her father, Steve Thomas (Brandi Valandingham), sister, Whitney Thomas, Nephews Bryson and Jayden, many aunts, uncles, cousins and so many special friends and her best friend, her dog, Hyde.

To the family and friends of Morgan Thomas, I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences. I am truly sorry for the lost that your family is feeling. When ever we lose such a caring and loving person, it is the hardest experience that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take comfort in knowing that God never intent for us to deal with sickness or death. But have assure in this wonderful promise. He promise each of us that very soon he is going to reunite us back with all those love ones that you have lost. (John 5:28,29) Until that time, cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of Morgan. These precious memories will console the family in the day’s ahead.
