Mildred Harper Woodruff, daughter of Eugene Harper and Annie­- Bell Harper (Warren) was born on September 27, 1936 in Siloam, GA.

At an Early age Mildred moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she met and married Willie Woodruff who preceded her in death. In this union five children were born. One son (Michael) also preceded her in death.

Mildred accepted Christ at an early age. She continued serving faithfully for over forty years with The Church of Christ.

Mildred was a diligent worker. She retired from the North Meridian Inn in the Hospitality Department in the year 1998.

Mildred was straight forward and caring. She demonstrated a high level of honesty. Her evidence of service was shown throughout the years of helping those in need.

Mildred departed this life April 11, 2015 at the age of 78 years, seven months, and eleven days. She leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters Yolanda Taylor (Steve), Judy Woodruff ;two sons Willie Woodruff Jr. (Cornelia), Larry Woodruff (Elise) ;two sisters Florence Williams (WC) of a Cleveland, Ohio, Julia-Bell Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren Zakita Blades (Ronald), Tabitha Millbrooks Derrek Millbrooks, Tiki Dawson, Jennifer Faulkner, Malcolm Woodruff, Melanie Woodruff, Michael Woodruff, Montel Woodruff; five great-grandchildren ;one great-great grandchild and a host of family and friends.
