Melvin Price was born July 23, 1933, the first born to parents Benjamin Price and Marie E. (Walker) Price, who are now deceased.  As a young child, he enjoyed reading comic books with his sister Ann, who has proceeded him in death.  Melvin was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School.  He served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  Upon Melvin’s discharge from the service, he worked in his father’s interior house design business for many years.  Melvin professed hope in Christ at a young age.  He was a faithful member of Tribe Stone Baptist Church until its dissolution.  Melvin passed on November 13, 2017, after a lengthy illness.  Melvin leaves to cherish him his cousin Nadine McMiller and her children, nieces, nephews, and the Harvey family.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 11:30 am at Indiana Funeral Care; Harry W. Moore Chapel, with a visitation starting at 10:30. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery with full military honors, that will be provided by The United States Air Force. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.

Condolences

  1. Mary says

    November 18, 2017 at 6:24 PM

To the family, my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. As you cope with your loss, may you find comfort in knowing that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including death (Revelation 21:3,4). May you find peace in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about them and bring them back again (Job 14:13,15). May these words from God’s word, the Bible give you comfort now and strong hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
