
Mary Pearl (Capps) Wright, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 24, 2017. She was born on June 18, 1935 in Burkesville, KY to the late Carlie and Zelma Capps.
Mary was a dedicated server in the restaurant industry, and worked for 15 years at Fort Ben in the Finance Department. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing BINGO, and loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Sharon (Don) Lauman, Robert (Melissa) Jackson, Joni Tyring, Jodi (Jerry) Swenson, and Artie Wright; siblings, Robert (Gwen) Capps, Opal Taylor, Roy (Ida) Capps, Jean Roach, and Carlie Junior (Linda) Capps; several grandchildren, including Casey and Josh Barth, who helped care for her; great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Arthur “Art” Wright; siblings, Robbie Utterback, Tony Capps, and Larry Capps; and children, Judi Crain and Billy Wright.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W Moore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
