Mary Lee Ryan, 73, of Fishers, passed away on October 8, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 11 at 11 am at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Blvd. East Drive in Indianapolis. Visitation at 9 am will precede the memorial service at 11 am.

Mary Lee was born in Evansville, IN on December 20, 1942, and grew up in Elberfeld, IN. She was a graduate of Oakland City College and taught in the Evansville School Corp. prior to her marriage to Gary L. Ryan on October 22, 1965. Gary and Mary Lee moved to Indianapolis with their son, Ned and shortly thereafter another son Cooper was born. Mary Lee is survived by her husband of almost 52 years and her sons Ned (Carol) and Cooper (Bridget); grandchildren Connor, Kirsten, Reese, and Mallory; sister Jeannette (Leslie) Lenn of Austin, TX; and brother Jack Rogers of California.

Mary Lee’s greatest passion was her devotion to teaching young children. For many years she was a preschool teacher at Epworth Methodist Church and later at Children’s Circle at Second Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church.
