Mary Evelyn Hawkins, 78, of Greenwood, was welcomed into heaven on August 11, 2018. She was born June 6, 1940 in the hills of Tennessee to the late Hurb and Martha Harris. She married Hershel Hawkins on December 31, 1955 and is now reunited with her soulmate after 2 years apart. She is survived by her brother Haskell Harris, son Timothy Hawkins, daughters Charlene Henson, Sharon Hawkins, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be 9am to 12pm, Thursday August 16 at Indiana Funeral Care South, 2433 East Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143 with a service to follow at 12pm. Burial at New Crown Cemetery.
