On Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, Mark Anthony Woods, a loving husband and devoted father of two children, passed away at the age of 51.
Mark was born on May 28th, 1968 in Okinawa, Japan to Chieko (Kinjo) Hodgin. He worked in the Indianapolis Sheetmetal Union for many years. He then worked as a technician in the manufacturing industry. On February 10, 1989 he married Myra Dawn Bardsley. They raised two daughters Lauren and Lindsay.
Mark had a passion for fishing and boating. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed singing in the church choir. He was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He was always willing to forgive and always put others’ needs before his own.
Mark is survived by his mother Chieko, his wife Myra, his two children, Lauren and Lindsay, his sisters Johnna, Paula, Pam, several nieces, nephews, and his three grandchildren. A celebration of life service and pitch in will be held on Friday, June 7th, 2019 2 PM at Post Road Christian Church 1112 N Post Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46219
