
Marjorie J. (Limburg) (Gruber) Rook, 77, joined her daughters in Heaven on Wednesday, August 17th, at home. She was born to the late Richard L. and Wilma Limburg on December 25, 1938 in Akron, Ohio.
Marge was active in the First Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Deacon, and Commissioner to the White Water Valley Presbytery. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She served as president of the Franklin Auxiliary Unit 205, 7thDistrict president and Department Sgt-at-Arms. She was state Poppy Chairman, on the Board of Directors at Hoosier Girl’s State and served as a counselor at Hoosier Girl’s State. Marge was an active volunteer at the Camp Atterbury USO and the Johnson County Interchurch Food Pantry.
Marge is survived by her husband, David P Rook whom she married on March 17, 1984. Other survivors include daughters Bethann Bruce (Jordon), Patricia Dawn Rose, Rebecca Lynn MacKenzie (Kenneth); 9 grandchildren, Keriann, Amber, Emily, Aimee’, Thomas, Carly, Sallie, Ian and Karoline, 4 great grandchildren, and son-in-law, Steve Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her brother Richard L. Limburg, Jr. and daughters Patricia Back and Laura Bowers.
Rev. Peter Jessen will conduct a memorial service at 3pm on Sunday, August 21 at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Madison St., Franklin. Family will receive callers from 1-3 prior to the service. Internment of the cremains will be at a later date in Green lawn Cemetery.
