Cindy once said in choir practice at Cross and Crown that she would be riding a bicycle for the first time in Heaven. I am smiling now because I see her on that bike and she is happy and at peace.

Cindy was such a blessing in the life of our daughter, Emily. Her patient, loving approach to piano lessons gave Emily a love for playing and a confidence to do so. Her warm smile and welcome made piano lessons a highlight of our week for many years! May her love for music continue to play on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Cindy was without question one of the Greatest influences in My Life. She was not only The Greatest Music teacher and Director, she also ALWAYS projected such a Beautiful smile and Self that made everything Okay. She would always say ‘ If you miss YOUR note, pick ONE, stay in the Chord, and OWN it. I’ve carried those thoughts through MY Life. I can’t say how PRIVILEGED I am to have been part of Her Life. Love you Cindy, GOD will now have the Greatest Choir of Angels…..Blessings and Prayers for her beloved Family…
Till we MEET again…….

Mrs. Paul always let me be myself and helped shape who I am from the soul out.
Jaynette Gay Bauer says
My children went to Broadripple. Eric Bauer my son was in the music class with Cindy. Betty, Erin, [my daughters], and me attended Broadripple. Then years later, Eric and Cindy met again at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in the choir. I loved the way she would teach the choir how to sing, with joy, quietly, or loud, or silent It was like a sermon about the meaning of the hymn that was being song. Cindy also played the organ, piano, drums, and tambourine. I will miss her hugs and smiles. A pure soul.
Debbie Toplis says
Cindy Paul took the time to treat her students like human beings who deserved to know that the world did not evolve around ourselves. She spoke to us as young adults who needed to have respect, and was respectful to us in return. I just realized that I’m modeling her teaching style! We were so fortunate to have her for a few formidable years!
Sandy Reiberg says
Even after she retired from Broad Ripple, Cindy gave back to the school and the students. Her spirit will inspire us forever as her joy for living; learning and sharing love through music shines on in all the lives she touched. Thank you Mrs.Paul for your gifts.
Stan Peterson says
I am a member of the choir at Cross and Crown and one of things I appreciated most about Cindy’s directing is that she did so much to get us beyond just the notes and words to see the spiritual message in that particular song. She not only taught us to sing, she strengthened our faith. Thanks,Cindy, for this beautiful gift.

Mrs. Paul was my music teacher at Broad Ripple. She had such a kind soul. I always looked forward to her class. She made all of us feel special and talented (even tho musically some of us were not :-). She was a lady who touched my heart and I’ll never forget. My thoughts and prayers to her family. I know she’ll be missed.

Thank you Broad Ripple Magnet High School Choral Music for Posting about Ms. Paul’s passing (which was posted in Broad Ripple High School Alumni Association). She took time from her schedule to give me private Voice lessons when i Was in Golden Singers, etc. back in 1968-1972. I loved her dearly, but don’t make it back to Indy except for Class of ’72 Class Reunions every 10 years. (from San Jose, California). I never knew about Ms. Paul’s family, but it is very consoling to learn that she had so many family members who loved her and cherished her.
