Lorna Kay McAtee went to heaven on Easter Sunday, perhaps a blessing because Kay’s deepest commitment and love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born in Cadiz, Indiana on October 22, 1942, Kay graduated from Anderson College in 1975 as a registered nurse.
Kay spent the greater part of her often-acclaimed career in the field of long-term care in high level managerial positions and was universally recognized as a gifted leader in the industry. She served significant periods with Forum Group, American Senior Communities, and, most recently, CarDon & Associates, Inc.
Kay is survived by her loving husband George K. McAtee, stepsons Robert and Steven McAtee, daughter Candace Wooten and five grandchildren.

Kay and George shared an adventurous nature which led them on a lot of travels throughout the world—her most memorable a safari into northwestern Uganda. She loved Alaska and their many stays in their Aruba timeshare.
Kay’s favorite place, though, was their humble cottage on Lake Freeman.
A generous giver by nature, never a taker, Kay was known for her deep caring and respect for the elderly and infirmed.
Kay was often credited by younger persons working in healthcare as so inspirational she had become their role model. She was known for her tireless energy and selflessness.
Kay will be missed by all who knew her.
