Surrounded by family, Lois “Billie” (Hardenbrook) Goshert-Montgomery, died peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital on June 19. She was born on August 11, 1927 to Vern and Bertha Hardenbrook in Newton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Max Goshert and Loren Montgomery, Brother; Virgil Hardenbrook and Step Granddaughter; Madeleine Bachalier.
Billie never met a stranger, and gave her time and talent to many ministries throughout central Indiana. She was a founding member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She loved playing bridge, golfing, and bowling and was an avid Indianapolis 500 race fan. Billie was a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Terri (Steve) Mosier, Larry (Mary) Goshert, Alan Goshert, step children; Susan Montgomery (John), David Montgomery, Brian (C.J.) Montgomery, Jack Montgomery, grandchildren; Chris Duncan, Greg (Kelly) Duncan, Dan Langford, Larry (Anna) Langford, Allison (Ryan) Stephens, Josh (Shelley) Goshert, Hanna Montgomery, Rachel Montgomery and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46220 on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial of her ashes will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Epworth United Methodist Church.
