Lisa K. Hankins Hignite passed away suddenly in the early morning of Saturday, January 27, 2018. She had been in the hospital for several days with pneumonia and was simply not as well as she appeared to be.  Lisa was born on August 22, 1961.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Howard and Deannie McCarty and William and Margie Hankins; her younger brother Gerald J. Cassidy II; infant sister Kathleen Erin Cassidy; niece Sarah Flanders; and her stepfather John L. McMullen.

She is survived by her daughter Rachel K. Hignite; mother Kay M. McMullen; and father and step-mother Richard and Mary Helen Hankins. Also her sisters Elizabeth (Tom) Novak and Angela (Dale) Laker; brothers Darrin (Lori) Cassidy and Jimmy (Debbie) Saddler; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved ex-husband David Stockdale.

She will be greatly missed by remaining loved ones. She was a warm, loving, and gentle person. Her life should be celebrated as she would want.

Lisa’s final resting place will be at Hamilton Memorial Park where a private burial will be held.
