Leland A. “Smitty” Smith, 78, Westfield, IN passed away February 2, 2016.  He was born to Oscar and Lilly Smith on April 21, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ellen, parents; Oscar and Lilly Smith, 3 sisters; Norma, Ruth, and Audrey, 2 brothers; Jim (Johnson) and George.

He is survived by his 3 sons Gary (Penny), Steven (Karen), and Chris (Peggy) Smith, his grandchildren; Garrett, Joey, Taylor, Kailynne, and Cason, great grandchildren; Jacob and Travis, sister in law; Joan Lines and many nephews and nieces.

“Smitty” earned his Associates Degree from Pueblo Community College and worked as an electrician and retired as an electrical foreman from CF&I Steel Corp in Pueblo, CO after 43 years.

Over the years he enjoyed woodworking, board and card games, playing golf, bingo, dominos, slots, fishing, boating and reading. He was a huge Bronco’s fan.

A private service was held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 for immediate family with Pastor Patti Napier Officiating.
