Lelah Marjean Wolfe Keller was born on December 18, 1924 to Edna Walker Wolfe and Harold Wolfe. Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, with a funeral service on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.  at the funeral home. Interment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery. She was the middle child with an older sister, Virginia Wolfe Hannon, and a younger sister, Anita Wolfe Fritz. Lelah was raised in New Point, Indiana and graduated from New Point High School while being involved in many activities including 4-H. She was always so proud of the year her dress was entered in the State Fair’s 4-H Dress Review. After graduation, life in the big city beaconed, and Lelah moved to Indianapolis where she worked for the Farmer’s Home Administration for several years. She met her beloved husband, Harry, on a blind date in May of 1946. They were married seven months later on December 22, 1946. Lelah became a devoted housewife and mother to two children, Christopher and Kim. Lelah lovingly raised her family as she also participated in numerous activities. She held several offices in School #91’s PTA, taught Sunday School, served in several officer positions in DAR, was an avid supporter
of the 483rd Bomb Group of WWII, all the while still maintaining an immaculate home, garden, and continuing her love of sewing. Lelah was always ready to lend help and support to anyone in need. She will always be remembered as a woman who loved the Lord and loved her childhood church, the New Point Christian Church. Lelah left her earthly home on July 27, 2014 to meet Jesus and her family members who have preceded her in the resurrection of life through her Lord, Jesus Christ. She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and nephews, and niece to cherish her memory. In lieu of flowers, Lelah requested memorials to be sent to the New Point Christian Church, Inc., P.O. Box 86, New Point, Indiana, 47263-0068 or The Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base Georgia Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 2469, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31099-2469 to help maintain the 483rd Bomb Group’s museum pieces as a legacy to future generations.

Praise the Lord, Kim & Family…..The struggle is over…..Mom is at rest, and with her Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ…..no more pain, no more worries….and what a blessed assuranced knowing, her labor was not in vain…..We watched her transition, and knew it was a peaceful one….and, she was escorted to glory by her own, personal angels….how beautiful…Thank God for a memorable life with such a beautiful person….Looking forward to her “homegoing services”, and thanking God for making provisions for her….and thanking God for the beautiful daughter she has. What a blessing just knowing we’ll all meet her again….by and by….when the Saints are all together….what a time, what a time….what a time !!!
