Larry Lewis Ronald Davis, 73, went home to be with his heavenly father on September 4, 2016.He was born on November 12, 1944 in Phoenix City, Alabama to the late Lewis Davis and Wilma Louise James. Although Larry was an Alabama native, he was raised in Detroit Michigan, where he lived most of his adult life. Larry was a proud veteran,  having served in the United States Marine Corps for several years. After serving his country, Larry celebrated a long career of over 40 years at The Ford Motor Company as an Automation Robotics Specialist.

Larry Davis leaves to cherish his memory and uphold his legacy: his wife, Gloria Davis ; son, Andre (Kevin) Davis-Smith; 2 grandchildren, Dalontrius McDaniel and Oprel Union – Goins; siblings, Eliza English, Catherine Johnson, Ladawn Davis, Dennis (Sandy) Norman, Raylette (Regina) Clayton and Clarence Clayton; son-in-law, Arnold Goins; and a host of cousins, uncles and aunts.

He is preceded in death by: his daughter, Toronda Stevenson-Goins, his parents, Wilma Louise James (mother) and Lewis Davis (father); sister, Carolyn Mays; and brother, Lewis Clayton .

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at The Marion National VA Chapel at 1 pm, friends may call on the family from noon until service time. Burial will follow promptly at 2 pm with  full Military Honors presented by The United States Marine Corps. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.
