Kevin Michael Yost, 57 longtime resident of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday morning. Kevin was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Calvin H. and Dorothy L. (Lawhead) Yost. He graduated from South Bend La Salle High School and attended two years at Ball State University. Kevin went on to trade school becoming a Certified Journeyman Carpenter furthering his career. Through his long health battle he was the most beloved employee to all residents at College Courts of Nora in Indianapolis.
He married his sweetheart of twenty six years, the love of his life Kathy Nye.
Kevin is survived by his older brother Rev. Dennis C. Yost (Sandra) of Fishers; and two sons, Keith F. Yost (Kelsey) with three grandchildren and Brian T. Yost of Indianapolis.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed playing golf with his sons, brother, and friends. Kev loved his family and friends; he was considered a special kind of guy. His nickname was Special K and really he truly was.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 1 pm with visitation from 11 am to the service time of 1 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Indiana at www.lls.org/indiana or to St. Pius X Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.
