Kenneth A. Pitcher, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away September 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Three Rivers, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Naval Avionics and later, Raytheon Corporation, where he was a research design engineer. He was the President of the Wanamaker’s Lions Club and trustee of his church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, G. Annette Pitcher; 2 daughters, Marnie R. Curl and Tanya L. Franklin; 2 grandchildren, Dakota L. Curl and Morgan L. Franklin; and 3 siblings, Jim Pitcher, Bill Pitcher, and Cindy Jordan. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. at the Acton United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 27. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time. Friends may leave online condolences at www.indianafuneralcare.com.

    We are deeply sadden by Ken’s passing. He was one of our dental patients. Ken always had a smile on his gentle face and always gave us a wise word or two. We feel blessed that we all had a chance to have Ken be apart of our lives. Our prayers & blessings are with all of you.

    Ken and I have been friends for a long time. We worked for the same employer and frequently went to lunch together over the years. I will miss him. I pray that he, his family, and many friends will be comforted and granted peace.
