
Kenneth P. Washington, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away May 28, 2014.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington “Papa Cool” affectionately known as “Baby Brother” was born January 28, 1938 to the late Kenneth Charles Washington and the late Luanna Crabtree Washington in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington was the fourth of thirteen children. The following nine siblings preceded him in death: Robert Washington, Mary Washington, Shirley Rowley, James Washington, Nellie Gavin, Johnny Washington, Jerry Washington, Terry Washington, and Karen Garrett.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington received his education through the Indianapolis Public School System and attended Crispus Attucks High School.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He later united with Womack Memorial C.M.E church where he was presently a member.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington was united in Holy Matrimony on April 10, 1959 to Rosalyn L. Jackson to this union five children were born: Anthony Washington, Phillip Washington, Bryant Washington, Sonya Driver, and Janet Smith. He also had: Kenneth Jones, Donna Washington, Brent Washington, Eric Washington and Devonte Washington.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington was not only a jack of all trades but a master of many. Mr. Kenneth P. Washington first was employed at Beard Lumber Company. Later at Redman Sign Company and Andresen Sign Company where he prepared and installed signs for many establishments throughout Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Along with these jobs Mr. Kenneth P. Washington was known as a mechanic, plumber, electrician, builder and craftsman. Mr. Kenneth P. Washington performed these skills for family and friends with compassion.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington departed this life on May 28, 2014 at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed by all those who loved and knew him.
Mr. Kenneth P. Washington leaves to cherish: two sisters, Beverly Love and Karol Austin; one brother, Larry Washington; seven sons, Anthony Washington, Phillip Washington, Bryant Washington, Kenneth Jones, Brent Washington, Eric Washington and Devonte Washington; Three daughters, Sonya Driver, Janet Smith, and Donna Washington and a host of family and friends.
