Kenneth E. Ryle Sr. (Butch)
born May 1, 1953 passed away at St.Vincent’s hospital of Anderson on February 22, 2018. He was admitted few days earlier when brought in by ambulance because he had lost all vital signs at home. This following one of many surgeries and treatments that he undergone trying to repair the damage left by the harsh radiation treatments that he went through battling the cancer he was diagnosed with in 2011. He was miraculously victorious over the cancer, but he was left with with other health problems and damage. He continued to fight for years, against all odds until he was called home by our Heavenly Father Thursday morning.
Native to Anderson, he attended Madison Heights High School before enlisting to serve our country in the U.S. Army. He served in the 101st Airborne Division, Vietnam Era Veteran, and Instructor of Diesel Mechanics for many years until being discharged. He returned to Anderson with his family and worked for many years as forman at Brummett’s Construction. The bartended at many Anderson Area Bars and Taverns: Thunderbird Bar & Grill, Wonder Bar, Pat’s Place, Geneo’s Tavern, and The Get-A-Way Lounge. He met and touched many lives of Anderson and surrounding areas residence. He forced to retire when diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2011.
He was a lifelong racing fan, even drove his own race car while in Germany and at Anderson Motor Speedway. He was #1 fan of Jeff Gordon. He was known for his excellent performance on a billiards table, and participated in many pool tournaments and leagues. He also was an awesome outdoor”s man: Deer & small game hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and many others that he participated in mostly with his family and friends. He also was involved with the beginning the Poker Tournaments and Texas hold’em tournaments throughout Anderson and surrounding areas.
He was a loyal loving husband, wonderful father, amazing grandfather, brother, son, and friend to many. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Cassandra Grim Ryle (Daleville), his three children: Kenneth E. Ryle II(Anderson), Amber Lee Ryle(Daleville), Christina Ryle Grim(Muncie). Sister Faye(Steve)Randolph of Anderson. Brother-in-Law Samuel (Dawn) Grim II of Daleville. Grandchildren: Ashton and Juston Gilmore of Anderson, Paisha (Matthew) Sanders of Alexandria, Merea Osthagen and Mikala Rich of Muncie. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special friends: Hayden (Gene) Brummett, Pat Capps, David (Woody) Woodal Sr., Kevin Wehrley and Mark Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Lethia Noble, Mother Emalou (Burton) Ryle, In-Laws Pineil & Barbra Grim Sr., brother Robert L. Ryle, & special cousin Susie Odle.
A special thank you to Dr. Ron Blevins, his associates, their nurses and staff for all their excellent work, comfort, and performance they provided for him and his family through the years.
