Kathy I. Hopkins, passed away on Febuary 2, 2019. A Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Wife, and Friend. She leaves many family members and friends grieving, but grateful to have been blessed by her life. Kathy’s memory will guide the paths of those who loved her, Kathy’s life will teach lessons of kindness and sacrifice. Kathy’s spirit will keep giving, as she did while she was with us.
Kathy’s hope was for all of us to be happy. The emptiness without her will be hard to overcome, however the joy she gave us will be easy to remember. Kathy would want all of us to keep our heads high and to pursue our dreams. May her dreams come to pass.
Kathy was a Chicago Bears fan, she would scream and yell at the tv when they screwed up, and give high fives when they scored. She had a little bearman sitting in a little chair and during the game it would either be on a throne or out in the yard. Her household was her domain, she would rather be there than anywhere, she made her house a sanctuary that all were welcome. She liked swimming in her pool, but most of the time she was bringing snacks and drinks for everyone else swimming.
There are dozens of things that Kathy did for people but what she did for animals should not be forgotten. She saved many cats lives. Kathy found homes for feral cats and prevented more from being born.
Kathy was born in Clearwater Florida on September 17, 1950 to Robert I. Breedlove and Imogene L. Wood who preceded her in death. Her father was a Navy man who she was very proud of. She traveled a lot in her youth with him and lived in Prescott, Arizona for a while. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Hopkins, Son Paul Conner and his wife Rhonda, Daughter Amy Cullison and her husband John, Sister Sherry Cameron, Aunt Lorraine, Four Grandchildren, and Two Great-grandchildren
There will be a celebration of Kathy’s life on February 10, 2019 from 2-6 pm at her son’s residence(Paul) 11564 Capistrano Circle 46236. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to “The gathering together” 147 N. Center Street Plainfield, IN 46168 This is a wonderful place that Kathy spent her final days. Thank you!
