89, passed away on June 2, 2016, due to complications from Lupus. Born on March 16, 1927 in Zionsville, IN, she was the only child of Violet and Russel Sparrow.

She attended Pike High School and worked at Pittman Moore. In 1947 she married George Shelton of Boone Co.,(deceased), and they are survived by their three children Syliva (Lynn),Tom, and Joe, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was a supporter of the Children’s Home in Lebanon. June lived a simple but strong life as a farmers wife, rising early to care for children and animals, preparing meals for family and farmhands alike, and she will be missed.

A memorial service to celebrate June’s life will be held on Tuesday June 7, from 4:00-8:00pm at Flanner-Buchanan, 105 W. Pine Street in Zionsville. June and her family would like donations to be made to the Boone County Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
