June B. Allen, 92, of Pendleton, IN, transitioned to Heaven on November 28, 2017. She was born to the late Hamp and Haute (Oliver) Goodrum in Warren County, KY on August 23rd, 1925.
She was a homemaker and retired from Blocks, now known as Macy’s, after 20 years of Service. June enjoyed painting and had a few of her projects displayed in local churches. Her artistic talent did not just stop with her, but she passed it on to her children and grandchildren.
At an early age, June gave her life to Christ and later went on to become a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. At the end of her life, though she did not remember much, she was still able to call on the name of the lord.
June was married to her loving sweetheart, Roy, for 72 years until he passed away in 2016. She now joins him in Heaven.
June is survived by her son, Joseph (Jo Ann) Allen of Greenville, SC; Son-in-law, Joe Rex Boerner; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and niece, Betsy Monroe of Bowling Green, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents; daughter, Marcia (Joe Rex) Boerner; and 2 grandchildren, Julia and Ronald Reynolds
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017, at 11 am at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Friends may visit the family from 10 am until service time. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.

Sharing Your sorrow in the loss of June.
I worked with her for 20 years at Block’s. we remained good friend long after we both retired.
I was privileged to visit in her home for lunch and to see her wonderful paintings.
Many happy times with her and Roy.
