Joyce (Nickels) Sturm, 88, Brownsburg, passed away on January 14, 2015.  Services will be at noon on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Indianapolis, IN with visitation from 10-12.

    I knew her as Mrs. Nickels, or Pamela’s mom. I first met her around 1968 when I drove to the house in Sherwood Forest to meet Pamela. She reminded me of my mother, a sweet gentle nature, and who looked on the good side of everyone. Mrs. Nickels was a great cook and made wholesome delicious meals, the old fashioned way. She made the best made-from-scratch strawberry cake which I had the pleasure of tasting just a few years ago.
    She lived a full life and was well cared for by her family until the end. I pray that she rest in peace.

    My memorys go back to when I was quite young. My dad (Lovell) & Joyce’s husband William/Junior as I always knew him) were brothers. So Joyce was my Aunt. I have a lot of great memorys spending time at Aunt Joyce’s. She was always so caring and nice to my siblings & myself. Always cooking delicious meals. I feel that she is at peace now

    I have very fond memorys of Joyce. She was my Aunt. Her husband (William or Junior as I always called him) and my Dad (Lovell) were brothers. I remember spending a lot of time as a kid at their house and she always made us feel so welcome. Joyce was a very caring gentle lady. She was a excellent cook. I feel she is now at peace and no longer suffering. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Love you Aunt Joyce.
