I knew her as Mrs. Nickels, or Pamela’s mom. I first met her around 1968 when I drove to the house in Sherwood Forest to meet Pamela. She reminded me of my mother, a sweet gentle nature, and who looked on the good side of everyone. Mrs. Nickels was a great cook and made wholesome delicious meals, the old fashioned way. She made the best made-from-scratch strawberry cake which I had the pleasure of tasting just a few years ago.
She lived a full life and was well cared for by her family until the end. I pray that she rest in peace.

My memorys go back to when I was quite young. My dad (Lovell) & Joyce’s husband William/Junior as I always knew him) were brothers. So Joyce was my Aunt. I have a lot of great memorys spending time at Aunt Joyce’s. She was always so caring and nice to my siblings & myself. Always cooking delicious meals. I feel that she is at peace now

I have very fond memorys of Joyce. She was my Aunt. Her husband (William or Junior as I always called him) and my Dad (Lovell) were brothers. I remember spending a lot of time as a kid at their house and she always made us feel so welcome. Joyce was a very caring gentle lady. She was a excellent cook. I feel she is now at peace and no longer suffering. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Love you Aunt Joyce.
