Joyce Ann O’Connor, 74, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, March 14th, 2016, from her home in Noblesville, Indiana after a long and courageous battle with bone cancer. She was dedicated to serving Christ and sharing His love to everyone she knew.

She was born July 25th, 1941, to Fred and Hallie (Osborn) Davis in Thayer, Iowa. She grew up in rural Madison / Clarke counties and graduated from Osceola High School. She lived in Missoula, Montana from 1975 – 2011 where she was a homemaker with her husband William (Bill) Carr. She had many hobbies including owning a successful beauty shop, numerous antique shops, and making Victorian era clothing and lampshades. After Bills death, she moved to Indianapolis in 2011. She married Dennis O’Connor in November of 2013. She was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel in Carmel, Indiana.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Hallie in 2001; brother, Raymond in 1976; sister, Donna Stalter in 2009, and former husband Bill Carr in 2011. Survivors include husband, Dennis O’Connor; 2 sisters, Sharon (Chet) Reed and Connie (Darrell) Olmstead; 2 sons, Doug Bishop and Jeff Bishop; 5 grandchildren, Austin, Zachary, Joshua, Jacob and Jessica Bishop, 6 nieces and 5 nephews.

Visitation will be held on March 19th from 10am – noon at Harvest Bible Chapel in Carmel, IN., with a service to follow at noon. Pastor Brian White will be officiating. A graveside service will be held at Bethel Chapel Cemetery in Woodburn, Iowa on March 25th at 3pm. My prayers go out to you all.
I loved chatting with you during our treatments. The love that you two shared was so beautiful and I’m sorry your time together was so brief. Sharing our love for Jesus and for prayer was a huge blessing! She will be greatly missed! (you, too, Dennis)

May God draw near as I know you will draw near to him during this time of transition, Dennis. So grateful for you and Joyce, and for your heart for our Lord and his work! You are dearly loved.
